Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at director@nestmontessori.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We follow a child-centred, Montessori approach to education that focuses on nurturing each child’s natural curiosity and desire to learn. In Montessori spaces, children engage in hands-on, experiential learning activities that foster independence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Montessori is a scientific approach to early childhood education that was developed by Doctor Maria Montessori (1870-1952), Physician, Anthropologist, and Pedagogue.

For more information on Montessori education, visit our blog - What is Montessori Education?

Nest welcomes all children and families. In fact, the principles of Montessori Education were initially developed to help children with additional needs achieve their full potential.

The Montessori approach is suitable and accommodating for all children; however, some children may find the structure of the environment less suited to their learning style. If you have any questions, please reach out. Our director will be able to discuss how we can support your child and connect you with available support or inclusion services.

To begin the enrolment process, please contact us via email or phone, or fill in our enrolment enquiry form here. We will then contact you to further discuss your childcare needs and book a tour of our environment. An enrolment for will be sent to you following the tour.

We offer care on a part-time and full-time basis, with a minimum of two days required.  This is to allow children the time to fully form connections with educators and peers, discover learning outcomes, and master the progression of the Montessori materials.

The Child Care Subsidy is a government payment that reduces the out-of-pocket costs for childcare to eligible families, and includes centre-based day care, family day care or outside school hours care.

Our centre is registered for the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). If you’re new to childcare, we recommend that you apply for CCS as soon as possible to ensure eligibility.

Our fees are currently set at $157 per day. For further information regarding our fee inclusions, please fill out one of our enquiry forms here, and we will get back to you.
